Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle

I told you I would be writing reviews for other authors. If I’m being honest, I had seen Stephen Graham Jones post about this book on Twitter that he read a character on the audio book. I pre-ordered it on Audible immediately and couldn’t have made a better decision.

The tile “Bury Your Gays” to me wade me worry this was going to be hate crimes in Hollywood. Fairly early in the book we find that our main character Misha, a screenwriter has been informed he is able to have the episode outing his characters he has been hinting were gay for seasons, but he will need to kill them to make the studio happy and fit the status quo.

Misha is tired of Hollywood burying LGBTQ+ representation he refuses to re-write the episode and the studio threatens to end his contract. With so much on his mind because he is up for an Oscar for a short film and standing his ground to proudly keep representation in the show he has put his soul into; Misha starts to have very odd encounters.

I loved this book. Just going to put that out there up front. So much fun and had a very Erie feel throughout right up to the final climax. I will admit, I never would have thought it would have ended the way it did because I was so far down another rabbit hole. Cryptic yes, but that’s because I don’t want to spoil a thing. I want you to go read this book and find out for yourself.

This book has everything. Lot’s a humor, characters you are going to love, tense subject matter and creepy/gory horror in the best way possible. Through the whole book Chuck Tingle has something that will keep you wanting to read more and more every chapter.

This was my first read of anything by Chuck Tingle and I am hooked. I’m so excited to have a back catalog to now discover while I wait for whatever he comes up with next. 🥃🥃🥃🥃. Check this out and I hope you enjoy the show.
