Welcome to the Bar on this All Hallows Eve!!! Pull up a stool and tell me your woes, for tonight the Jack-O-Lanterns will glow. Can you feel it? That sudden change in the air, a chill you feel in your bones even in the most tropical of places.
For most of us Horror fans/Mutants, Halloween is a lifestyle we live 365. September first marks the beginning officially of spooky season. Today is the beginning of the party. Mainly because what we live for all year is about to come to a close till the next. Kind of Like Hallmark with Christmas movies but at least they get Christmas in July. Many are trying to make mid year Halloween a thing and Iām here for it!!!
So whatās your poison? Allow me to mix you a drink while you tell me a tale. Perhaps youād rather I tell you a tale, or maybe ways to celebrate my favorite holiday. Yes, allow me to give you some suggestions to enjoy your Halloween.

If youāve followed my blog or read any of my posts you know there are ways I celebrate all year round. Iām closing a Halloween Horror movie watch challenge tomorrow and will post that later. But there are podcasts and YouTube channels to enjoy to keep you in the Halloween spirit all year round as well. Some of my favorites are:
Charsie Luxx – Her Cosplay is top notch and the makeup she has done is professional level in my opinion. Iād love to see what she could do with an unlimited budget. As amazing as her cosplays are her horror movie reviews and Ghost stories her father told her are the reason I avidly wait for new posts. I also consider her a great friend so I might be a bit bias. Still, check her out.
Sinnful Sarah – Truth be told this is another great friend of mine. Sarah does the most in-depth horror movie reviews ever. I have been a guest on two of her episodes (The People Under the Stairs, & Lord of Illusions). She is a psychology major and really dives deep into the writer and directorās points of view in these movies. Itās an amazing perspective and so much fun to listen to. She really keeps me on my toes when I get the privilege to guest with her.
Monster Movie Happy Hour – I just started following them, but this is a fun group. Their movies reviews that I have listened to so far are fun and very well done. My favorite part is the special cocktails they creat to go with them. I have saved several and currently have tried one which was an instant favorite Their āBurnt Offerings Old Fashionedā is fantastic.

I added cherry wood smoke and one of my Skull ice cubes. Perfect for a chilly Halloween night.
Now that weāve had an aperitif, the kitchen is open. We finally have high temps in the low to mid 40ās; so whatās better than a chilly Fall night before Halloween? Soup. I tried new recipes and made Autumn Root Vegetable Chowder with Chive Batter Bread. It was delicious.

Letās talk entertainment. Tonight is a Halloween tradition for our family. We are watching Hocus Pocus before the kids are off to bed, then the wife and I are watching a Horror movie. Every October I do a theme and we watch one every night we can. We tend to be crazy busy and Hockey season starts and we never miss a game whether on Tv or in person.
This month we are watching all Horror movies we havenāt seen. Trying to catch up on ones we have wanted to watch as well as new ones that catch our attention. Tonightās entry is the newly released on Shudder, Hell House LLC Origins. Look for a review later in the week.

The night is getting late, enjoy my suggestions to get into the spirit or spirits if you feel inclined. As I mentioned Halloween is a lifestyle for me. This week I will be celebrating Halloween with as many posts as I can find time to write. Get ready for reviews of all kinds and a wrap up of my Halloween challenge with a list of my favorites from this years challenge. Until then, as Elvira would say, āUnpleasant Dreamsā.
